Mothers of Sparta and Dawn Davies Featured on Megyn Kelly Today a Second Time

March 13, 2018

I flew to New York to tape a segment for Megyn Kelly Today that addressed viewer response to my first appearance on February 7, 2018. The first MKT segment featured my book, Mothers of Sparta, and viewers responded to the title essay by writing in, both to the show, and to me! Megyn Kelly Today understood the chord this essay struck in the special needs community, and invited other mothers of kids with complex mental health needs to share their stories. We also had neuroscientist, Dr. Kent Kiehl, there to explain things from a professional perspective. Another great experience with Megyn Kelly Today. I blog about it here.  Segment airs on 3/22/2018. Stay tuned!

Dawn Davies on Megyn Kelly Today Show

February 7, 2018

I was on Megyn Kelly Today to promote my book, Mother of Sparta. I blogged about it here. It was a great experience. Megyn praised Mothers of Sparta, and said she hadn't cried so much since watching Bridges of Madison County, which I take as a high compliment. All writers want to make their readers feel things.

Here is a link to the video:'s Five Books Even Crazy Busy Moms Will Want to Read

April 5, 2018

I just discovered and I think it is great! They wrote a blog post reviewing five books even busy moms should read, and Mothers of Sparta made the list. In fact, the author, Jordana Horn, said my book was one of the best books she has ever read. This kind of feedback means a lot to people who sit alone in a room working on projects for years at a time. Super sweet. Please check them out!
